HASH TRASH Vol 11, #308, 26 March 2000
Big welcome to all the First Timers - translated from the French by Blobus, Marie Claude & Alain from Reunion; Kate from the USA here for a year doing research on domestic violence; veteran Hasher Andreas whose Argentinean Hash name is 'Lomito' which roughly translates to 'Little Willy'; Vicky & Laurence from Princes Tuna; Joan from Colas; and lastly, Julie's Uncle, Phillip, from Derbyshire. See you all at the next one!
Good Down Downs by 'Doddle' and 'Diddle'.
Bunny with a ..........
Supremous Blobus awarded the Bunny with a bolt up its bum to Vincent to keep forever. Good luck to Vincent's parents when he starts to ask questions about that bolt.
Lucky Vincent received this Award too. Don't forget to put your name on the green fella.
Smelly Blue T'Shirt
Russell 'Santa 111' Worthy managed to make himself scarce when this was handed out at the last Hash so the recipient then, 'Sexy Shorts' made sure he got it this time. Don't forget your Personality Profile to Edit Hare - we have not had one for ages!
Religious Advisor/Sex Councillor
Greetings from Jimmie and a few funnies.
We are very sad to say farewell to Peter Bukowski who somehow managed to escape getting a Hash name! Forever more he will be known as 'Man with no name'. Peter was a great help to the Hash especially in the food department! All our best wishes to Peter and Karin.
Another (final) farewell to Dagmar and Detlev who really do leave us this week along with their two doggies - all bound for Germany. Good luck everyone!
Mad Hash 2000
An Advance Information sheet was handed out to those happy Hashers heading off to Madagascar. Anyone who did not receive a copy, please contact Edit Hare for one. Mad Hashers are requested to send their deposit cheque, copy of their work permit (expats only) and two passport size photographs for visa purposes to Concorde Travel.
Big thank you to Marie Claude and Alexandra for all that great food - loved it!

Directions: Make your way to Curepipe and get on the A10, Royal Road. Get to the B70 which leads west to La Marie. Turn right on to the B64 towards Glen Park. Turn left on to the B65 leading to Mapou. Keep going through Mapou and Henrietta till you get to the bus terminus. Go straight on past the bus terminus and follow the track south through the sugar cane. Watch out for potholes. Look for Hash signs. The track follows the line of telegraph poles. Keep going for about 1.5 km till you get to a small bridge over a stream. Turn next right through the gates and you are there at Tamarind CWB Reservoir. The area is good terrain for dogs. Please bring 4 wheel drive with good ground clearance if you have one. We will leave in 4 wheel drive convoy at 1020 to go up on to the ridge where the run starts. Please be prompt, we will not come back for stragglers. Ankle biters, non runners, 2 wheel drive cars, beer and food will remain down by the reservoir. Bring cameras, there is a fantastic view point at the top of the ridge looking over Flic en Flac and the West. There is not much shade up on the ridge so bring water bottles and kepis (hats? E.H.).
