Held at Centre de Peche, Riviere Noir.
Presiding:-
HM :
Cupid
RA II : Barnacle Bill
Temporary Hash Scribes : Geeta & Bob
Present: About 30 odd
Distance covered: Quite a long way !
Rivers crossed: Two
Buildings escalated: Two
Report: Short, flat and dry (as usual). Actually, any trail set by Saddam
has to be a little unusual and this one was up to our best expectations. We
started by crossing a muddy river estuary. The tall ones were up to their armpits
in muddy water. The shorter souls had to swim for their salvation.
We had been told to look out for 10 beers on the way round so everyone took
off in a dripping, squishy-squashy heard to look for it, but, lo and behold,
the other half of the river estuary had to be crossed (only up to the waist
this time). Dry land at last and we all set forth on our quest. The FRB soon
found a case containing strange looking bottles and, without a second thought,
they were opened up and imbibition started. This came to a sudden halt when
one of the more discerning drinkers shouted "It's not beer, it's vinegar !"
They all stopped drinking and put the bottles back for others to find.
The run continued and we proceeded up the nearby Martello Tower, an interesting,
archaeological visit. Guess what, we found, the beer at the top. It is still
a mystery what the vinegar was doing on our trail (lucky it was only vinegar
!) Those hashers will drink anything.
Our new and very enthusiastic bugler sounded the 'last post' and several other
catchy melodies, and we descended the tower and came back to the present century.
On, on for about 5 more kilometres around a 'barachois' , salt pans etc, we
eventually came back to the nice river crossing. By then we didn't care any
more and just charged across.
A wet T-Shirt competition was indicated but all the Hashettes seemed to be wearing
bras.
The food was provided by 'Cupid' (thanks mate).
First Timers: Marcus & George (Rainer's guests) who vociferously said
that they would never come again.
J. Bernard Callot & Claudia from France & Holland
Liselle Lathia (retired)
Udo from Germany (Peter's guest) said he didn't think much of the Hash but enjoyed
playing our bugle.
Second Timers: Helen, now baptised 'Dolly' because she is in the cloning
business.
Anna, now 'Sexy Shoes' who wanted to share her down down with Saddam (he is
always on the scrounge).
Special Down Downs granted by the deputy RA:
Judy & Geeta 'Sinkerball's - for shortcutting
Mireille & Etienne - for not even starting the trail (came too late)
Saddam - for not obtaining Police/Coast Guard permission for the river crossings
Allison 'Leprechaun' for saying out loud that she doesn't like beer. RA, always
willing to accommodate, awarded a Rum & Coke down down.
Udo the horn blower - for doing non-stop blow jobs all the morning. His down
down was administered via the bugle.
Special Re-Naming Ceremony Beverly - Who will henceforth be known as Mama
Mystery The whereabouts of the Toilet Seat still unknown (one suggestion
by Peter – Long Zip was that it was being used over the weekend). Come back
Nick we need the Smelly White returned!!!!
Reminder Hash Cash fee is now Rs75 per run for all over 12 yrs. Sorry folks
we were not breaking even but losing money at Rs50.
SPECIAL THANK YOUS To all who worked to make the hash a success i.e. beer, ice, food, hash trash, hash cash, softies, hares etc.
